Idk, I didn't get married, we live under the legal figure of the concubinato.

As simple as possible. If possible I'd prefer we just signed the papers and got it over with.

But, since there are two parties with individual expectations I'd try to bargain it down to a simple sort of wedding. Nothing over the top. But in a nice, homely location with good home cooked sort of food. Alcohol? Yes, of course. A relaxed atmosphere with no stiff lips. No overpriced "fancy" dishes, extravagant dressing or wedding rings.

I know of people who have spent insane amount of money on weddings, inviting hundreds of guests and afterwards they are in debt. That sort of show-off mentality and thirst for glam and diamonds is not something I'd like to get involved with. Better spend money afterwards when forging a life together.

Yes, you're right and it's because it didn't mean anything to us that we didn't do anything special, apart from buying our clothes, and there were just our parents and grand-parents.

Maybe I should just have a very simple intimate religious wedding, with about 50-80 people, and then a dinner in a restaurant. The thing is that we've already spent a lot of money for nothing in this affair...
