What is the most liberal Muslim country in the world?

True! To be liberal or open-minded a muslim must first deny and reject his muslim identity.

Azerbaijan, Turkey, Albania, Bosnia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan. These countries are constitutionally secular, un-Islamic and do not apply the Sharia law.

Tunisia is constitutionally Islamic, and it's the most liberal amongst Arab-Islamic countries.

Morocco is also far from liberal, lol.

Tunisia is not liberal at all. Is not Pakistan but is far from liberal. They predend to be a little bit more opened because they need tourists. They live from tourism mostly.
The most liberal muslims are probably these ones: kazakhs, kyrgyz, albanians, turkmens, uzbeks, bosnians, azeri, turks (to a lesser extent) and that's about it. I would call anyone else liberal. Maybe Lebanon to some extent too.

Edit: let's not forget that most of the suicide bombers come from Tunisia. I have a good friend tunisian. He says there are radicals who hire this terrorists in the middle of the street.

Agree with this list,100% accurate. They are, of course, still conservative countries for Western/European standards but probably the least of all Muslim majority countries.

When it comes to Arab countries, I'd say Lebanon, UAE & Tunisia are the most liberal countries but they are far more conservatives than the ones you listed.
Turkey is divided in two sides, one is more liberal, the other one is conservative so I'd put them at the same level than these 3 Arab countries although I still find them a little bit more liberal in average.

I am more worried about tolerance. It seems in every muslim-majority country christians are somewhat persecuted with the government turning a blind eye (luckily not everywhere and always). Otherwise I'm fine with conservatism if the people want it. Most muslims are obviously not malign toward people of other religions or those that are irreligious.

In Egypt the government turns a blind eye toward bride kidnappings of christians girls forcefully converting them to Islam while her family gets threatened. And then I see one Egyptian member here trolling about it here. That makes me sick.

But I realise this ordeal doesn't happen to the majority of christians there and the country has societal problems typical of underdeveloped countries with an uneducated lower class.
