    Very pleasant and elegant indeed. My experience is that Dutch people, and to a lesser extent Scandinavians, tend to sound the most British when talking English; Germans tend to be split between pseudo-British and pseudo-American; Slavic and Romance-speakers don't really sound either British or American; MENAs and East Asians - at least those who are reasonably fluent - sound mostly American.

    I try to fully sound american and pronounce everything as americans do.

    Probably because we're very exposed to Britain here. More so than to America. Everything that comes in from America comes through a "British filter".

    In some ways I feel that Britain, Netherlands and the Nordic countries could be one big country and work quite well. We're all nations of traders and sailors above all else, after all.
