Many European countries don’t want to think about wars. It is not an indication for paltry patriotism, although indeed some of those countries are not patriotic. And Germans for example have very very bad experience(same for Japan) with wars. Diplomacy ls allways the better way solving conflicts, that is what many are thinking.

Also not all of „most patriotic“ countries are really third world countries.
