So after the conversion therapy, they ended up in same sex relationships, quite a success A clinical psychologist friend of mine, told me that a lot of gay people after such conversions, would develop masochistic tendencies since they would connect sexual arousal with the pain that was inflicted on them during the conversion. That's a very biased documentary. There are numerous cases of people who have been completely delivered from the homosexual lifestyle, go on to get married to opposite sex partners and have children. Some do admit to struggling with SSA but it's not the same as acting upon it.

If there are some, they are just pretending to fit some strict social rules. Also what an unfortunate scenario for a straight woman/man to find out they were living someone’s lie. People are better free to make their choices

That might have been true 60 years ago, but today? Today you are a hero for "coming out" , pride parades, and all kinds of perks and benefits from LGBTQ. Gays are not denied jobs or targeted on average they make more money than straight men. I would say it takes more courage to walk away from it.
