Question about mural

When i was in Venice i took that photo, i visited the St Mark's Basilica. Does someone know what meaning this mural has? I think it is sonething about Ottomans, or?

This mosaic (not mural!) has nothing to do with the Ottomans. The events depicted there took place when not only an Ottoman, but not a single Turk was in the territory that is now called Turkey. And mosaic depicts the story of how several Venetian Merchants stole the relics of Saint Mark from the Arabs in Alexandria, Egypt
