    Default Beowulf

Early medieval biggest anglo saxon epic, old english, old anglo. We went through shortly in school, it was mentioned and what it is about. But I never read it. I think I should read it. I would enjoy it just like enjoyed Nibelungen Epic. I love such epics. But a modern version, I couldnt read it in old original old english Im certain.

I don't know why the English don't use Anglo-Saxon names like Beowulf and Ćthelwulf to name their children anymore. They just name them John,Jack,Mike,George, etc.

When it comes to Beowulf, the Old English epic poem, we studied it in our English literature classes. It was hard to grasp since it was in Old English. I remember studying it on Sparknotes for my exams, but I hardly remember its content. All I know is that there was a vicious and vengeful monster that Beowulf slew.
