New iteration of the thread on Romanian results from Wallachia (Southern Romania).

Wallachia is broken up into three parts:

• Eastern part - Muntenia
• Western part - Oltenia
• Coastal part - Dobruja

No idea, David Reich's academic samples from Gorj also had higher NA. I mean there are counties from where Romanians who are not recently mixed have more NA than Baltic. It's most obvious obvious in Arad, Bistrita, Mures, Alba, Brasov, Satu Mare. But it is also not unheard of in Oltenia.

Bucuresti and Constanta are almost identical. Both are very Southern.

Bucharest has people from all over the country, but most are from nearby counties.
Constanta was colonised in the 20th century from people from all over the country. While most are typical for Wallachia, there are some who obviously came from other principalities.

Maybe some Germans had fun in WW1 /s .

I actually do have an ex-workmate who's from Olt and said he's 1/8 German, posted his results here somewhere but his NA was also higher than expected.

Some interesting Aromanian/Vlach results from Romania that were given to me. The interesting thing for all of them is that they have visible Greek matches in top populations on GEDmatch.
