Overall their national teams have been fairly equally successful, whereas the German league is obviously much stronger and has been for a long time.

BTW, West German team that defeated that legendary Hungarian team was drugged/on doping, they even admitted it later.
If they had any decency DFB would return the title and it would have been given to Magic Magyars.

No one will ever remebember their team anyway, Hungary was different league for Germans and anyone else at that time.
