Whatever, what I am saying is that he ALONE took a disgusting dirty catenaccio team to the final with his genius, he created goals out of nothing.

And btw blame the "great" Julio Salinas missing around 10 goals in that match...I have photographic memory for classic matches.

What do you think of Zico? Could he really be 100% Portuguese? His father was Portuguese born (and a Sportinguista) born in Tondela, his mother was Brazilian but her father (Zico's maternal Grandfather) was also a Portuguese immigrant from Oliveira de Azeméis.

Loved this player, he always scored beautiful goals, always added some artistry to his goals and playmaking. Also loved to dribble past the goalkeeper, something we rarely see nowadays.

Genius, went to Italy (by far the best and most difficult league in the world in the 80's) to play a couple of at Udinese already with 32 years and finished top scorer of the league. When playing away even the fans of the rival teams cheered for him at free kicks, he was very humble and likable guy...but I think he lacked the killer instinct and hunger of titles that many football greats have. Also in Brazil if you don't win a world cup with the national team you get a cold foot reputation. Also had injury problems most of his career, but he is on the panteon of football no doubt.

Yes, he is also Sportinguista like his father, I've seen him saying that on several interviews.

I Blame both, The Hungarian referee and salinas. I also remember perfectly that game, that is why I still see more illogical your thought about Baggio. Spain deserved to win 8-1.

8-2 would be more fair...at least they had Baggio.

I was too young to follow him that time, but you can clearly see despite his injuries how strong his body is, he can't fall receiving physic contact from defenders, he could control both ball and body well while dribbling, Neymar is a good example of someone who despite being a dribbler can be easily fall after receiving any contact while controlling the ball
