Alright, so I heard Unetice culture was multi-cultural in the sense that proto-Italic, proto-celtic and proto-germanic people participated. So , I guess Esperstedt germany during the Early Bronze Age particularly 2199-2064 BC is considered proto-Germanic if not Germanic proper ? I match pretty closely genetically with an ancient sample from there :
Sample : Unetice_EBA_I0117 <-- At least I'm pretty sure that sample is from Germany can anyone please confirm this ? I think this is the best way to find out if I come from the Germanic rather than Celtic tribes.
Also, does anyone know anything about ancient Vatya culture by the Danube in modern day Hungary ? This is hard to find good info on.
Anyway, my puntDNAL k12 ancient results (edited and truncated to save space and be less 'annoying' ). Are these proto-Germanic or Germanic results ? It looks like it.
Least-squares method.
Using 1 population approximation:
1 Unetice_EBA_I0117 @ 3.557806 (Esperstedt Germany)
2 Halberstadt_LBA_I0099 @ 3.888870 (Germany)
3 Nordic_LN_SG_RISE97 @ 4.627192
4 Alberstedt_LN_I0118 @ 4.729532 (Germany)
5 Bell_Beaker_Germany_I1549 @ 5.593669
6 BenzigerodeHeimburg_LN_I0059 @ 6.396477
etc...
1 Vatya_SG_RISE479 + Unetice_EBA_I0117 + Unetice_EBA_I0117 + Nordic_LN_SG_RISE97 @ 1.236974
