Which countries you see as eastern european? I noticed to most westerners/anglo world eastern europe is associated with warsaw pact/communism, eventually slavic people.

In my country I learned eastern European countries are only European part of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.

Ukraine and Moldova are going through massive cultural shifts, eventually they'll break off Russia, and won't be considered part of Eastern Europe in a couple of decades.

I'm not sure about Belarus. By the look of the current events, it seems as if Belorussians want to get rid of Lukashenko but still want a close relation to Russia.

I don't think those were classified as such by only cultural criteria. Rather mix of geography and culture/geopolitics.

I don't think so. I think they will remain eastern because their level of development will lag behind western europe for many decades. Ex-warsaw pact states are still called eastern european by many, 30 years after socialism ended.
