One could say that of all internet forums in the current era except for maybe reddit. However, reddit can be stultifying n its own kind of way though.

Reddit is very active, yes, I even found some good programming tips there. But the user there is too depersonalized, Reddit is similar to an anthill in this sense, even the approximate scale of the personality of your interlocutor is not clear. Just a nickname is still not enough to remember a person. Plus more politically correct moderation and inconvenient site engine.

I realized recently that despite a lot of the extreme views that people on here hold, the average person here is far more accepting than supposedly normal people in other spheres. Even the most devoted nationalists here have been far more humane toward me than anyone from my ethnic group ever has. I think for that reason it’s a lost cause to try to fit in with the latter.

I think I acted in a manner that was too arrogant toward people on this site, after all whatever racial insults they lob at me can easily be brushed off because none of them actually apply. Not the same as being attacked on a personal level. What can I say other than that I was wrong.
