Saudi Arabians are really dark-washed

I've met some Saudi Arabians in real life and I think they are just slightly swarthier than Levantines, Iranians, Iraqis and they are definitely less swarthy than North African average.

I always thought South Asian looking Saudi Arabians have recent immigration background from either South Asia or Southern Iran.

Ok but based on my observations they can be quite dark especially bedouins who are unmixed

That is still pretty dark.

and they are definitely less swarthy than North African average.

Not all of North Africa is like the southern regions of either Egypt or Morocco. All the same, I do agree that Saudis are more Caucasoid than Yemenis and Omanis, who perhaps wrongly constitute in some people's minds what Gulf Arabs generally look like.

Saudis are that dark, you can't darkwash an already brown Saudi.

I knew one Saudi growing up, he was pretty dark compared to other Arabs and even Egyptians. The way I see it is, Hedjaz/west coastal Saudis(especially in the south bordering Yemen) = distinct difference between other Arabs, likely high SSA admixture just like Yemenis, while Bedouin/desert/east/central Saudis/even south east(there's a lot less of them) identical to southern Iraqis.

Still, you see a lot of those Sheiks in that traditional bath robe dress or w/e it is pretty light skinned.

North Africans are darker. I guess the genetics proves my point because North Africans are more SSA than Saudi Arabians, on the other hand Saudi Arabian are more West Asian and Southwest Asian than North Africans. On PCA plots, you’ll see that Saudi Arabians are more northeastern shifted North Africans.
