Volga or Mississippi?

True. But Missouri is part southern culturally IMO (not that crime is limited to south lol, just saying). I wouldn't pick place full with non whites for sure!

Missisippi always. I love that river and its areas since it is part of the Spanish stories of our conquistadores. One of my favourite conquistadores, Hernando de Soto, was who discovered the river while his expedition searched another empire to conquer in America.
Unfortunately, there were not richness there and he died due a fevers. His soldiers buried him in the own Mississippi to that Indians, who thought he was a god, did not notice he was human.

I really love all the nature around the Mississippi. Swamps, mangroves, its fauna, alligators, snakes...

I have to admit, the Lower Mississip' certainly does have that certain charm that the Volga, I imagine, does not. However, as far as civilization goes...
