I will put a list of the cities on the map, both in Serbian and Albanian language.

Priština - Prishtine
Kosovska Mitrovica - Mitrovice
Đakovica - Gjakova
Peć - Peja
Prizren - Prizren
Mališevo - Malisheve
Uroševac - Ferizaj
Obilić - Skenderbeg (Obilić was a Serbian medieval knight, and all the Albanians did was "opposite" the name to the Albanian lord Skenderbeg, who was/controlled by the Ottoman Turks)

If you notice, the Albanian-language version of the cities are just "copies" of the Serbian version. But one could argue that Serbs copied the Albanian names.

For that reason, I will now connect some of those city names to city names in Serbia (using this map: http://i.infoplease.com/images/myugo.gif)

All of these names are inconsistent with Kosovo city names, as they end in random vowel/consonant arrangements.

Most important of all, what does "Kosovo" mean in Albanian?

In Serbian, "crni kos" is the name of a blackbird... which is why they named Kosovo field... Kosovo Polje, because it's the "Field of the Blackbird."

How do you say blackbird in Albanian? According to various online translators, it's mulizezë or mëllenjë. "Bird" itself is zog or shpesë. These do NOT sound anything like Kosovo. Even the Albanian name of Kosovo is Kosova or Kosovë. Clearly, they claim it's their land... but why don't they have any historical names for it? Some might argue it's "Dardania" but Dardania just refers to a much larger Balkan region, which is for another topic/discussion.

In Serbian (I remember the old words of my grandfather and grandmother) there is a word that is spelled as ПРИШ, I don't know exactly what it means, but I know that when someone says e.g: ''Их, ПРИШ га убила'', Which would mean on English: "Oh, PRIS(Š) killed him'', means that PRIS(Š) is something that inflicts death and punishment.
The rest of the word "INA" means there is a lot of that (PRIS(Š)).
I don't know if it has any meaning in Albanian.

PS. I have heard it countless times from my grandparents. I don't know the origin, and the exact value, but there is something about it.

prištati instead of prštati could be a dialectal or archaic version.

that's where the root "prišt" comes from, and -ina can mean either something large, or a place. probably the latter in this case.

Since when do names signal someones possesion? We all know names of cities were always named by the higher dominion, therefore in middle age Serbian kingdom was prevalent, it's normal the names are in Serbian. There are also milions of Johns in USA that are Black, that doesn't mean they are British.

I'll tell you why, because they don't have their own names, look how they turned the name Priština into Prishtinë, the Ottomans did the similar thing, when they came to a land that was not historicaly and culturally theirs, they took Balkan countries' names of cities and only slightly modified them to fit in with the other Turkish cities.
