I'm excited, I thought it wasn't going to change much but it looks good

If you get a kit now, it will be done using the new 5.9 version. Still no word on when the previous samples will be updated. Apparently it is supposed to remove the "unassigned" as well as the "Broadly X" parts as much as possible. Here are some examples of it posted on Reddit. It seems to be extremely accurate with barely any unassigned and Broadly.

They need to change the unassigned in the 90% confidence result because the 50% confidence results are worth crap.
If you look at your 90% confidence results you’ll notice that there’s something like 10 to 30% unassigned. That’s where all your non-major admixtures are.

Not sure, from what I know it is meant to eliminate 'Broadly' and 'Unassigned' as much as possible. So yes they might also do it at those confidence levels

As far as I know, no. But yes it is definitely the best ancestry company overall

23 and me has shit raw data though, V5 especially. They have the least tested snps and it seems like they are trying to test even less snps with the whole clearing broadly this or that categories but sneakily calling it a upgrade.

I am not sure about the raw data but the ancestry components are much more accurate than other companies. Just compare that abortion of a service known as FTdna to this, it’s not even in the same league

It's been nearly a year since my last update, and I can't wait to see how it affects my "broadly" NW European %.

I've got 22.2% broadly and 9.4% unassigned at 50% confidence level = 31.6%
