Buying PS5 and/or Xbox Series X - Did I make the right decision?!

I've been with playstation since the ps1 but now I fear that bethesda games such as elder scrolls and fallout may become microsoft exclusives, since zenimax is now a part of microsoft

Since everyone is selling their consoles now, I bought an Xbox One X in the second hand market and subscribed to the Game Pass Ultimate. I feel I get a lot of bang for your buck with this setting (I am not an hardcore gamer by any means). Today they added Doom Eternal to the game pass.

It is more than enough for me since it is most capable console of the old generation. It runs the games in 4K on my TV with no issues. The majority of the next gen games will be released on the Xbox One X at least in the next couple of years.

It cost me € 100 the second-hand 3ds with a game, your acquisition is well priced.

According to Microsoft, it will have a period of two years before abandoning it completely, although I suppose other companies will continue to release games.

Yeah it will take a while for them to discotinue it completely and in one or two years you probably can get an Series S for 200€ and an Series X for 350-400€.

I bought the PS4 for 350€ in a pack with a game 3 years after its release on sale (base price of 400€), but it was the revision. It does not compensate me to wait so long for such a small discount, there may be them in this generation but I would not put much hope in waiting for a large discount of more than 100€.

I will only buy them in the future. Right now I'm totally satisfied with my PS4 and notebook emulators of older gens.

lol @ gaming consoles...lol @ games

i have a ps3 and a ps4 for the kids but I use it to mostly netflix and chill and youtube. ie, barely. Don't you feel empty sitting infront of a blank screen manipulating pixels with flicks off your wrists and pressing fingers? Makes as much aestethic sense as putting a rubber tube in your mouth and playing 'games' by sucking or blowing the tube.
