I believe there is some value to them, but it has to do with the environment the fetus gestates in and exposure to the sun at certain stages. Everyone has their own personality though and experiences that shape them.

In Astrology the character is not only supposed to be influenced by the Sun sign but also the moon sign and ascendant and other planets in signs in the chart.

Some people are a lot like their Sun sign but others are not that typical.

For example my wife is Sun sign Scorpio but in many ways she isnt a very typical Scorpio.

I'm glad you took it seriously. But don't encourage the skeptics, the wisdom of the stars is only for the blessed ones
