Bulgars were not turkic, I can tell you that for sure. When that Harvard DNA study comes out next year, the debate will be dead once and for all. Enough with soviet propaganda. Slavic is just panslavism = russian fifth column. Thracian is new and gaining popularity, someone had a revelation that can profit from all the gold and archeological sites.

Well, that could still be true. Bulgaria's ancient Thracian sample was more Southern genetically than the Getae samples from Moldova. The ancient samples from the coast of Croatia were more Northern than both.
So theoretically, Northern Bulgarians received a larger Slavic input than Southern Romanians, but because Romania's native population was more Northern-shifted, they arrive at about the same results.

UT8918045 is my kit number you can add me to Northwestern Bulgaria. What i notice is we have more Baltic than other regions in Bulgaria which means more Slavic what is interesting is whether that is because the region of Northwestern Bulgaria was more depopulated than other regions or the other regions were the same amount of depopulated but they later mixed with other native balkanites, i tend to think its probably the first.
