turkey is the most vile nation imagineable. unreal. they have literally never punched up or even straight across, only far down or when someone is already preoccupied with a massive other war.

At this point I don't see this ending with a victory for either side. Too many dead and not enough progress

Not if they are mostly entrenched on the outside, once that is penetrated rest should fall.

They had decades to set up defensive positions. It just started, you can't expect huge gains this early.
