What's it like being a member of your ethnicity/nationality on TA?

Alright, the other portuguese users are generally alright. Since our country is not very well known, big and mainstream we have do deal with some misconceptions from time to time.

1 - When I first joined I was very surprised by how much discussed the Al Andalus is in TA. In real life I've never witnessed a conversation about it, apart of some eventual history documentary on tv. Most of it I've learnt after joining the forum, so that was a plus.
2 - Also surprised how people throw the Iberian term right and left. It is rarely used in Portugal.
3 - I found the obsession with pale skin quite weird. Most Portuguese will associate a tan with being more aesthetically pleasing and healthy.
4- Surprised how much people speak about other countries without knowing much or even anything.

So key word: surprise.

Edit: Among Portuguese members we have a cordial/friendly relationship, even when we don't share similar point of views we keep it respectful between us.

It's good in my opinion, generally most Hungarian or half Hungarian members here are friendly towards me and it seems they are more educated / open-minded than the average Hungarian you can meet on the streets.

I kinda like the arguments when CV and Gotta_type are present. Their determination is a guarantee that you're on the winning side.
