I do understand that but being Irish these samples are realistic for my ancestry. A lot of the people that came were quite similar which explains why there hasn't been enormous changes since the Bronze Age but thanks for taking the time to explain this.

She can correct that effect simply adding penalization.usually only with 0.25X results get better.

The percentages may be realistic by pure chance, it is possible that you are really 60% Celtic and etc. But the method that you used to reach these percentages is completely unreliable, so the final result is unreliable too.

Someone else on Anthrogenica did the model. I mean I'm mostly Gael so that would be the majority of my ancestry.

Only for curiosity, could you add to those you posted, Iberian samples I posted?

I think that the this would add maybe some little % Iberian but will increase your Celt %.

Adding them, even my Andalusian father obtained near 20% Celt with aroun 1.0 distance.

She should use an entirely different software if she really wants to test very closely related populations, because this is not something that Global25 is made to do. Davidski himself says that, just like he repeatedly says that you shouldn't injudiciously add very closely related references to a model, but people apparently don't care about the basics and these crappy calculators keep proliferating like rats.
