I think the Georgians voted for joining the EU, as they had to choose in which direction to develop the country. And the Georgians chose the EU. I don't mind if it helps to improve the economy, welfare and more in Georgia. But this does not mean that I should feel myself as a European. I don't want to feel like a European. I only feel like a Georgian.

What is modern Europe? It's a big family where very different people like Sardinians, Finns, Greeks, Irish live together, i think we have to be part of this family.
There is no reason why we can't. Even by stupid determination like phenotype. I traveled a lot in Europe, and believe me many Georgians would pass better in the center of Europe, than many "real" Europeans. If by European they mean light people.

Genetically yes. Campanians are deep south Italians. I've been there, pretty sure Georgians are lighter than them as they are quite swarthy.

Even if that is true, pigmentation is completely irrelevant. To be European you don't have to be light... The fact is that Georgia is culturally, mentally and historically (for the most part) completely alien to the majority of Europe (and this isn't necessarily a good or bad thing, it just is). Georgians are Georgians and Caucasians, and that's pretty much where it ends.
