It seems Alans were already different than the other Sarmatians before their arrival in Europe. I didn't expect that.

I know that but Alan sample Kaspias posted has extra Turkic admixture. Using mixed mode oracle with 2 modern pops we get
79.7% Azeri_Dagestan + 20.3% Evenk 0.0481
If we exclude the local Caucasian input the rest is Central Asian Turkic ( ancient Iranic + East Eurasian)
Sarmatians on the other hand are modelled as Finno-Ugric+Iranic

According to Vladimir Gurjanov, this pattern is Q-L332 and a distant relative of the Hungarian Jász Q-BZ3950.

It is negative for L332 according to what has been stated in the supplementary information. So, three possible clade here:
https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-YP1102/
https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-BZ180/
https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-Y18330*/ (Basal)
If yfull hopefully answers my mails, we will see.

YP1102 and BZ180 cannot be. Can only be Q-Y18330 and L332. If you know it has become negative for L332 then only Q-Y18330 will remain.
