Pretty close to Herzegovinian Serbs. They mostly originated from Old and East Herzegovina, some originated from Brda. Brda influence probably made them little more southern than Herzegovinian Serbs.
Btw I am aware that 2 samples are not enough. But I would say this is not far away from real avarege for western Sandžakians.

That proofes that Croats are way more open-minded toward other cultures and religions then fascist-chauvinistic modern Nazi-Serbia.
However the Croat-Muslim alliance has a long tradition also because most Bosnian Muslim called themself Croats, and a large part of Bosniaks are Muslim Croats.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Croatia

Another very intersting fact is that the so called Krajina-Serbs (actually Vlahs) were settled by the Ottomans in Lika and Slavonija after they brutally expelled the ancient Croatian catholic population.
    Here some examples:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martolos

Under Ottoman rule, the Vlach population from other Ottoman territories moved into Knin and the region. They established new shepherd settlements and participated as mercenaries in the Ottoman armies.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Knin

In 1527 Benkovac became part of the Ottoman Empire. It was settled by Croats-Bunjevci, Serbs and Vlachs.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benkovac

Serbs like to call themselfes "Kebab Removers" but in fact they were the most loyal slaves of the Ottomans for almost 500 years, since Tzar Lazar gave his daughter Olivera to Turkish Sultan Bayazit. Serbia foughted on Turk-Muslims side, and Serbs gave there daughters and wifes were voluntary to the Turks.

Durad Brankovic, despot of Serbia was forced to provide 1000 cavalry to Ottoman forces marching on Constantinople (irony is that earlier he supported the last Roman Emperor in the effort of repairing the walls - by provision of funds). Also Serbian miners were present and, under Turkish officers, worked to undermine the walls of Constantinople.

Therefore it is certain that Serbs did join Turkish army in the siege of Constantinople, they did not do it voluntarily. In 1454, just over the year after the fall of Constantinople Serbia was invaded by the Turks again. Despite Hungarian support and initial successes, Serbia finally fell in 1459

So what? How is that different from France, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia etc???

You want to tell me we want to build those Mosques? Nope, but you know what's going on, same thing what's happening trough entire western Europe, Saudi Arabia is financing the building of those Mosques troughout Western Europe and Europe in general.

But even so, there are less than 1% of Muslims in Croatia.

P.S. I dont hate Muslims, but anyway, thank you for your concerns CHETNIK

I would be surprised if someone didn't suspect this TBH, I mean they have the Islamic crescent on one of the shields on their flag

The crescent and star isn't even of Islamic origin, it dates back to way before the existence of any abrahamic religions. The usage of this symbol, specifically in Croatia, most likely stems from the Roman and Byzantine empires. It was used as an idol representing the Roman deities Diana and Luna (or Artemis and Selene, the Greek equivalences). It is, in fact, comical to explain this situation to a muslim Turk, as their ancestors made this polytheistic idol a key symbol of not only Islam but also many muslim nations.

For more information check out wikipedia on this subject:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_and_crescent

Addendum: The constellation of the crescent and star, that is used in the croatian coat of arms, is akin to the one used in Byzantion (later Constantinople; now Istanbul).

Quote from book of Ivo Pilar, Croatian historian, politician, lawyer:

"Face of Serbs is face of Orthodoxy, and face of Croats is face of Catholicism, Islam and Bogomilism."

I guess he would be proud seeing new Croatian mosques, like this one in Rijeka

    Croatia is getting multicultural

Bosnia Grand Mufti at mosque opening in Sisak, Croatia: We belong to each other

Events, such as today's, give us hope that faith has its own way to people's hearts, that our brotherhood is possible despite all the forces attacking it – BiH Grand Mufti Husein Kavazovic at the opening of the mosque and Islamic centre in Sisak, Republic of Croatia.
