On this day, William Tyndale was burned alive at the stake for his crime of translating the Bible into English.

Praise God for holy men like William Tyndale, who has gone before us and helped to bring us the inspired scriptures in our languages, so we can hear first-hand the teachings of Jesus and his apostles... And no longer can clergyman lie to us and hide the truth of God from us.

The Bible is the most wonderful gift to us, other than Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
