The attempt to kidnap a Serbian girl in Babin Most disturbed the local Serbs, who warn of frequent attacks on Serbian children.
Namely, unknown persons tried to drag eleven year old T.D. from a mostly Serb village in the municipality of Obilić into a car this afternoon at around 3:30 p.m.
Zarko Petrovic, the director of the local primary school, said that the girl was on the street, a few hundred meters from the house, after returning from a medical examination in the nearby Prilužje.
"Around 2:30, I took the children from Babin most, who are supposed to go to training in Gazivode tomorrow, to undergo a medical examination at the Health Center in Prilužje. I returned the children home, and i left this fifth grade student on the road near the house," says Petrovic for Novosti.
"At around 7 pm, the girl's father came to me and told me how a car with four Albanians was standing next to her. One of them came out and called to approach the car. Fortunately, she escaped to the first yard because the gate was open," he added. Petrovic.
He notes that the girl's grandfather and mother went to the police station to report the kidnapping attempt, but they provoked them there by telling them that the kidnappers would have kidnapped the girl if they had wanted to.
The car in which the attackers were, as we find out, went in the direction of the Albanian part of the village, and members of the Prishtina's "police" suggested to the parents not to "raise dust around the whole case".
A similar incident happened recently in the neighboring village of Plemtina, when unknown persons tried to drag a nine year old Serb child into the car in 29.09.2020.
