Last year Prof. Mark Jobling of Leicester University and his colleague Turi King called for Norwegian volunteers to donate Y-DNA (page in Norwegian). About 400 men responded and they are now receiving their results (forum in Norwegian).

I wish that at least all public figures, such as politicians and celebrities, took autosomal DNA tests and made the results widely accessible at a centralised website.

Of course, it would be even better to test all citizens, and have it incorporated into their identity documents - sort of like the ethnicity graph in Soviet passports, but truthful.
