They were already half nomadic and they left it after awhile. Ottomans were trying to settle nomads every time. Also there is good amount of Turkic ancestry among Turks in Mersin, Adana.
Western Anatolian Turk people call theirselves Manav which means Yörük who do not have a nomadic life. Chepnis settled in that region after Trebizond Empire lost it. Byzantines gained sea borders after first Turkic invasion Seljuks in 11th century. Turkic tribes took those borders later in start of 13th century. Conquest of Antalya, Sinop etc.
