Interesting topic. Vegetarianism (and certainly veganism) isn't a traditional value in most societies - hence the alignment with the left.

There is nothing wrong in being a vegan, but only eating fruit is idiotic from a nutritional standpoint.

If you are just against industrial animal farming, you can get your meat and produce from your local farmers, that way it's organic and you can support them.
