Don't know if you are trolling. I am saying this because I don't think Greeks or anyone in the Balkans feels inferior to Turks. I think that primarily has to do with Turkish history. The Ottoman subjects missed the enlightenment and industrialization era because of the Turks. The centuries of Ottoman occupation are regarded as a dark page in their history.

Sure, all of the above makes the Ottoman chapter a dark page in Greek history. But that's history. That can be handled with, since no one is born in the Ottoman empire or during the conquest of Constantinople. A Greek child doesn't know about Constantinople until someone tells him/her at school. Once upon a time, this and that.

The frustration towards Turks probably comes from the fact that Turks today feel very proud of subjugating other people, conquering their lands and their cities and expelling the older populations in their conquered lands. They have so much pride in their history, which can be regarded inhumane and hostile to the Ottoman subjects. As such, Turkish politicians like to continue along the same lines. So Greeks view Turks as less enlightened in that respect. Somewhat as people blinded by their nationalism who lack critical thinking. This culminates to events like warships trying to lake claim to territorial waters. It's like, why can't you be a civilized neighbor like Italy on Greece's Western borders?
