Oh, finally you noticed that Treviño=Trevino.

And "Treviño de Sobremonte" is a different surname.

For the record what we talked about in the other thread:

Finally you will learn about Spanish genealogy.

Take into account that Tomás Treviño de Sobremonte, in many sources has the surname "Tremiño de Sobremonte".

And yes, that man was burned by the Inquisition because he practized the Judaic religion in secret, having been baptized a Christian by his parents at his birth. (probably crypto Jews too or not, we cannot know it).

But he was not founder of anything, he was a trader/merchant.

He showed quite a bit of humor when he was burned at the stake, they say he said while they burned him: "put more wood on the fire, it costs me my money"("Echen más leña, que mi dinero me cuesta").

Nope, Treviño is not Jew itself, you didn´t get the point, and having Treviño surname doesn´t imply being Jewish or having direct Jewish ancestry. That is not the way to find Jewish ancestry through a non-hebraic surname.

That is what I am trying to tell you all the time.

And that man was not even Treviño, he was "Treviño(or Tremiño) de Sobremonte", the Spanish composed surnames exist for a reason.

Can you see if that surname existed already in Mexico or USA?

He was born in Spain, maybe if the parrish registers already exist in that town (Medina de Rioseco), we could see if he has descents here.

It´s quite strange that a Crypto Jew family existed in a little town of the middle of Castille 100 years after the "decreto de Granada", but of course, it´s possible, and very interesting case, surely LongBowMan would be interested in this case.
