This one should also be in your mind, not just mine:
"And why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye?"
Matthew 7:3
** But one thing is to accept and forgive others' faults, and another is to choose (when you have so many millions to choose from in a country like the US) a person to praise and idealize above others, for leadership and character, someone like that -- a man who is facing scrutinity for financial offences, who acts in devious and selfish ways, and is known to have cheated on each of his three wives.

Trump is no Huey Long, though. His number one mistake was believing that with tweets and grandstanding/showmanship you could govern a country, specially one that is a world empire at the same time. His surrounding himself with political and personal enemies as well as marrying himself with lolbertardian talking points contributed a lot with the discontent that simmered throughout his government. But then, if he would have been really a populist firebrand like Long, he would have ended up being similarly murdered.
