They'll just continue supporting the Republican Party (obviously), but more specifically, support the people that support the more far-right ideas. And I'm sure Trump will be an example for future more far-right politicians to run.

I’m somebody in the thick of things and I can say this: There is a common sentiment among actual MAGA people, and it involves a giant middle finger pointed at the Republican Party.

Many are putting distance between themselves and Trump, so that it does not drag them down. It is a question of political survival, what politicians fear the most is losing their privileges.

They are professional politicians, you cannot demand loyalty or consistency from them.

Trump is not a professional politician, he is not so easily manipulated because he is stubbornly loyal to what he believes (even if he may believe something wrong), the only ones who will remain loyal to Trump will be people of the people who think like him.

But once Trump isn't an option ... who are all these people going to support?

If they end up seeing the Republican Party as a group of traitors, and would never vote for Democrats, will many of them lose faith in democracy and end up abstaining in future elections?

That would open the way to assured democrat party victories in future elections and to a period of consecutive democrat governments, which would ensure the establishment of policies destined to set the programmed social change agenda.

All this is just political-fiction, of course.

I believe that after what happened with Trump, the Republican party will lose many voters and potential voters, many people were disappointed in the republics for what they did, that will make the Democrats stronger.
I think a new conservative party should be founded in the United States. The republican are no longer trustworthy for their voters.

Never voting again in my entire life, except for a very local election. Trump was the last president I voted for and the only one worth my vote.

I can't give my vote on a rigged, 3rd world banana republic style voting system.

Any Trump supporter who doesn't continue to to vote for Republicans is an idiot. Say what you want about Mitch McConnell, but he saved us from some of the Obama administration's most radical impulses.
