From the recent thread about whether Latinos can call Spain their home, some common responses were that Latinos of mainly Spanish ancestry can while the others can't. So I'm just wondering about the Spanish view on things. Would they accept those Latinos of almost entirely or mostly Spanish ancestry (Creoles and Castizos) as Spanish? Or are they foreigners to them since they're from abroad? If they were born and raised in Latin America, but later immigrated to Spain, would they be Spanish? What if they never lived in Spain?
Of course, this is a subjective question, so just answer based on your personal view.
For comparison, North Americans (USA, Canada) are often shunned by Western Europeans if they identify with their European ethnicity of origin, except maybe if they're first or second generation irrespective of their ancestry. Though I've seen a few exceptions. Just curious to see how Spaniards compare here.
