The aggravation of the armed confrontation in Nagorno-Karabakh was planned by the Turkish authorities, which actively provoked Baku to unleash hostilities, media reported.

According to Kommersant, citing military and diplomatic sources, the Turkish authorities have been preparing the ground for the resumption of hostilities for several months.

Presumably, after the end of the military exercises on the territory of Azerbaijan in July-August, a significant group of the Turkish Armed Forces remained. It included a battalion tactical group, military instructors, pilots, and advisers of up to 600 people.

The formations were reinforced with 18 infantry fighting vehicles, one MLRS, six helicopters, eight aircraft, and many drones.

In addition, sources claim that Ankara is actively recruiting mercenaries from Islamic groups in Syria and Libya to participate in the battles for Karabakh.

In the conflict zone, there are about 1.3 thousand Syrian mercenaries and about 150 militants from Libya.

According to the sources of the publication, those who wanted to go to war in the region, recruiters offered a "lifting allowance" in the amount of 1.5 thousand dollars and a reward of up to 2 thousand dollars a month.

"On September 22, the first group from the 2nd corps of the SNA was sent to Azerbaijan, which underwent a two-week special training under the supervision of Turkish instructors in Syria," the source said.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a statement that the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia was provoked by Turkey.

Advisor to the Armenian Prime Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan stated that Ankara planned the military operations in Karabakh. Turkey, in turn, demanded from Armenia to liberate the "occupied" territories.

Let us remind you that on September 27 the conflict in Karabakh began to escalate. After talks between the foreign ministers in Moscow on October 9, Baku and Yerevan reaffirmed their commitment to a truce from noon on October 10, but later Azerbaijan and Armenia accused each other of violating the agreements.

As a result, Armenia refused to exchange prisoners with Azerbaijan. Vzglyad detail told about why the current aggravation of the Nagorno-Karabakh called the most dangerous since 1994, and analyzed the reports of pro-Turkish militants, had been transferred from Syria to the zone of the Karabakh conflict. https://m.vz.ru/news/2020/10/17/1065856.html
