I can't imagine the reactions if I had opened a thread titled "I am afraid of men". I would have been called a misandrist, a feminist, etc.

Probably because it's so typical. That would be annoying. At the TA, people can express opinions that they aren't comfortable expressing elsewhere.

No need to be a question about flirting or sexism when speaking about a work society. Women speak about men's society acting behind the scene, but women has their own groups conspiring.
