In my top 3 I will put Firenze, Siena and Volterra.
Volterra has an exceptional position, it's a wonderful city with many monuments (I've visited the Duomo, the etruscan museum, and walked through the city).
I like a lot San Gimignano too. Discovered it this summer, a beautiful city. I've walked in top of the highest tower, you have such a landscape...

Yes, their light features are highly overrated.
Aostan and Tyroleans aren't really Italians.
N. Italians are actually an eastern version of Iberians, with some plotting more southern (emilians) and others more northern (trivenetians).
Ppl seem to forget they're meds bc they're located near the alpine region and part of the bluemerang etc. but for example, even Bulgarians who are located at a considerably lower latitude than them are more northern shifted than both N. Italians and Iberians.

For Bulgarians I don't agree. Bulgarians are usually on the same level of northerness of "standard" Northern Italians and Iberians. From what I've seen.
Romanians however definitely not, they are somewhat closer to Serbians, Croatians etc. So with considerably more Northern Euro DNA, and it's not a surprise given the geography.
