I dont have reason not to believe our vital statistics. There is more stygma if they try to declare themselves as majority population.
They are Gypsies and free to declare themselves like that.
And yet, less than 5% Gypsies among newborn population in Serbia. (2% in total population according to 2011 census).

No problem, I was just stating trends in general. I think Serbia has lot of Gypsies, but less than Hungary and Romania, maybe on par with Slovakia.
I think Bulgaria has percentualy largest amount of Gypsies in Europe and situation is bad because ethnic Bulgarians have one of highest population loss/shrinking rates in Europe, more than Romanians.

In Arad there was a huge market everyday. My mother's aunt worked there and we visited her almost daily and bought a lot from there.
She sold watermelons and other fruits. But yeah, most of the women working there I'm pretty sure were gypsies. And that most of her friends were gypsy.
I don't rlly mind these types of gypsies that at least work according to the law.
Even they were bothered by the ones that came trying to steal and beg for money.

In Serbia most Gypsies declared themselves as Serbs on the population census, just as in other countries they declared themsleves to be part of the majority ethnic group. It's enough too take a look at the balance between declared native speakers of the Romani tongue and those who declared as Romani:
https://bs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popis_...Maternji_jezik
So as you can see even though most Gypsies here only speak Serbian (a small minority of them speaks Romanian as their native tongue too) in real life, 100k out of 147 000 self-declared Gypsies speak Romani. Meaning the Gyspies whose native tongue is Serbian (the majority of them) will not write down their true ethnicity on the census, but end up being counted as Serbs instead.
