@Damiao: Brazil has the most Italian descendants anywhere outside Italy, and is rivalled only by the US for German descendants.
What I like most about these languages is that in Brazil its not really the languages people speak in Europe, but pseudo old versions of it. People speak like europeans of 140 years ago. I would like to know if modern european can understand their brazilian counterparts. Because even us brazilians have a hard time to understand our portuguese counterparts, despite most of them can understand us.

But recently many prefectures paid attention they are losing their language with adults and its good to see their attempts to preserve their culture with the kids.

It's a legacy, they resemble the old versions of their european counterparts. Sure, they aren't carbon copies of the old languages, but in some ways it's like hearing people from the past.

Yes, but i really doubt they speak italian unless we are talking about very recent immigrants. Same with germans, if we are considering coloring the whole of Brazil as italian and german speaking.
This would be like me arguing that France should be colored as portuguese speaking because of the portuguese immigrants there. From my experience they are french speakers.

Yeah, but German immigration was much stronger in the US than Brazil.

German looking people, as a group, are only common in some pockets of the country.

But I wish they were stronger, it would make white Brazilian phenotypes less boring, since 80% of them look generic meds.

Actually, I find White Brazilians to look more varied than do most other White Latin Americans, including Argentines and Uruguayans.
