Not all Africans have a lot in common, but if you trim it down to the Afro-Asiatic-speaking part (North Africa, Horn of Africa), then you can find some similarities.
NA and the Horn are both populated by Afro-Asiatic-speaking peoples (including pre-Arabization) unlike the rest of Africa.
NA and the Horn are both very conservative with similar traditional values. The way a Moroccan treats a woman is probably more similar to how an Ethiopian Christian does than a Spanish Christian for example. Values in general would be much closer to the Horn than to Southern Europe.
NA and the Horn were both Abrahamic in antiquity while the rest of Africa was pagan until colonialism.
NA and the Horn both used Negroids as slaves instead of one another.
NA and the Horn were both grouped as "Hamitic" as historical sources (whether it was a bad grouping isn't the point, but that ancient people saw them similar enough to be grouped together).
NA and the Horn both have strong ties to West Asia that the rest of Africa lacks (except for the Zanj to some extent but that's relatively recent).
NA and the Horn both have non-insignificant portions of both Negroid and Caucasoid blood (true that Negroid blood is way more common
Is this what you were asking about?
I do agree that NA has stronger historical and genetic ties to Southern Europe than it does to the Horn as well as a similar climate, but there's some connection at least.
