I don't think there's that much mistreatment. Most I've talked to there had it fine. There are some specific cases where it happens and these make headlines. The ones that complain the most about Peninsulars mistreating migrants are Westerners who want to feel superior (not denying that Westerners treat migrants much better but its exaggerated) and some foreign nationalities (mainly South Asians) with a huge victim fetish.
