I think you make some good points. I'm in no way an expert, but the more I try to study this issue the more I find that "classical Marxism" is a very different thing from the ideas of these "woke" intellectuals. Yes, they use Marxist concepts like critical theory from the Frankfurt School, but the latter had already been criticized long ago by "orthodox Marxists". I think nowadays there are not many classical Marxists left. These new leftist/liberal intellectuals and their followers are using a mix of different ideas to attack traditional societies and values, but class conflict, a central tenet of Marxism, doesn't seem to be their focus. And the fact that they are supported by liberals that at the same time stand for capitalism and free market seems to suggest that there is little Marx in this new left. That is a problem when trying to find correct definitions. Maybe the term "Neo-leftists/Neo-liberals" would be more appropriate than Cultural Marxists.
