Silvernight is not white in DR. What a big laugh, LOL. He is the standard for brown if anything.

I wouldn't listen to Tooting Carmen really. Not too long ago he used to say Dominicans were as SSA as African Americans. Also that Milly Quezada and Juan Luis Guerra were too white for the DR. I am lighter than Silvernight btw. and I get trigueño often (blanco when I'm not too tanned). My phenotype is common here among us too. My first or second guess in New York is always Dominican.

Just for the record, I've never ever claimed that Dominicans are as SSA as Aframs - quite the opposite. In fact, when I went to New York, I could quite easily distinguish between the two groups most of the time (more than I would have expected).

Our standard of white is the same that exists in Puerto Rico which is our closest neighbor. I wonder how many Dominicans you have met in real life? I mean for someone that lives in England, lol. But I disgress.

If anything, I am seeing an increasing adoption of the one drop rule here, probably because of the influence of US expats and their lambones in academia.
