Subhan Allah, 2020 is the year of resets and changing conventions.

I think your trolling... but suppose somaliland did recognise israel? what would it hope to gain from it other than isolate itself further from some arab countries + qatar/turkey. And israel would also never never reciprocate the gesture simply because it would stand to gain nothing but everything to lose especially towards arab countries + somalia.

Not at all trolling. If this was the Taliban or Yemen or what not, I would not behave like this. Palestinians are for the most part secularized and what has it benefited Somalis, or Pakis or Indonesians or so on, to support the Palestinian cause...a bunch of people on average LESS religious than the aforementioned populations, who also dont appreciate the gesture at all but run after groups like Iran and so on. Always making the wrong call, I think they are just a cursed people with something 'off' about their eventual fate.
Seriously economy wise...Israel will get access to prime coastal resources and a means to secure the Gulf of Aqaba, since we're on the bab el mandeb and Gulf of Aden, the gateway to the Red Sea. Somalis will not bother migrating to Israel, unlike Eritreans or Ethiopians so they dont have to worry about Somali migration.
As for your last sentence, lol you're so unaware. UAE is actively involved in this normalization process as a middle man...so Israel will always seek Muslim allies wherever they can find them, and soon all the Arab League will have relations. Qatar has had contacts with them since 1997 and Turkey even earlier. The Erdogan rhetoric is just rhetoric, its not serious

Literally always on the wrong side of history. I sincerely start to think they are cursed.
Btw, this El Haj Amin Husseini from WW2 was a nobody...why they keep telling us about him and his support for Hitler? Hitler should have tried to get the Sharif of Mecca on his side.

Basically Ethiopia has dejure recognition and long ago established diplomatic communiques but the world powers wont let Ethiopia recognize us, but it cant wait. Ethiopia itself is occupying a chunk of Somali territory (the Ogaden), so its treading very softly. But of course an independent Somaliland is better for them than a united Somalia or Pan Somali ideas...

No, but they should. If Somalia did, which is not really the nearest crocodile to the boat for Mogadishu, then there's not much reason why anyone else wouldn't. Somalilanders suffered serious genocide and ethnic cleansing back in the Siad Barre days, plus, they have heritage as a British protectorate rather than having the misfortune to have been 'developed' by Italy, so I have always fully supported their right to self-determination.
As Somalia doesn't recognise Israel, Israel has little to lose by officially recognising Somaliland, except, perhaps, invoking the ire of its international backers. Israel still probably won't, imo.
Mogadishu obviously doesn't want to and the international community from Brussels to Beijing, Cape Town to Cairo, has no interest in further destabilising Mogadishu, as they've pumped a lot of money into the local infrastructure, such as it is. Therefore, unless Mogadishu changes tune (unlikely) it won't happen.
There's another region called Puntland which is de-facto independent too but it doesn't want to permanently secede from Somalia.
