    Don't even dream about it

I could count on the fingers of one hand the Spaniards with black hair that I have encountered in my life and I would still have fingers left.

It became fashionable a few years ago and the girls who were seen with black hair was dyed.

The photographs are chosen in reference to the subject

Dark brown if it is more abundant in Spain but black or jet black it is exceptional to find it.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

Remember that you are talking to the same guy who said that Spain is the most Mediterranean country in Europe.

Please learn how to read properly. I did not say those nations are in the majority black - haired! I said that they have a much higher frequency of black hair than other European countries lying mostly to the north of them. This also correlated to a very high frequency for dark eyes in comparison to other European nations.

Come on. There are even Germans (with a native background) who have real black hair (not dark brown) - especially in the South.
So why wouldn't a Southern European country like Spain have a considerable number of black-haired people?

They're just nitpicking on definitions. Faklon rightfully pointed out earlier in this thread that someone like Keanu Reeves doesn't have the same jet black hair as a SSA, Mong or Native American, because in the right lighting it will still look dark brown/brunet. This is probably true for nearly all S. Euros, if not all West Eurasians/North Africans, but it's still really dumb to not call this type of hair black. The vast majority of the human population would say Keanu Reeves has black hair, saying anything else is just a coping mechanism imo.
The Guanche skulls as a whole are unlike those of modern European Mediterraneans, and resemble northern European series most closely, especially those in which a brachycephalic element is present, as in Burgundian and Alemanni series.
divided them into clearly differentiated types, which include a Mediterranean, a Nordic, a "Guanche," and an Alpine. The "Guanche" accounts for 50 per cent of the whole on the four islands of Teneriffe, Gomera, Gran Canaria, and Hierro; the Nordic for 31 per cent, the Mediterranean for 13 per cent, and the Alpine

It is rare and very exotic to me, even when it became fashionable several decades ago and many girls dyed their hair jet black, it caused me a lot of surprise. So is. I don't know what the reason is but black hair in Spain is not common

Different shades of chestnut is the most common in Spain

I have already seen a color like this by counting the fingers of a hand and I still have more than enough fingers.
