13 Kibbe Body Types

Just discovered recently on YouTube these "classifications" of body types that have been "created" by David Kibbe, a fashion stylist. He classified body types/morphologies in order to help people to dress accordingly to it.

I highly doubt it has been scientifically proven (probaly just pseudo science) but I found it quite interesting as myself & some of my friends who watched the video recognized themselves in some of the descriptions.
The analysis goes more into depth than the traditional hourglass, triangle, pear, round, rectangle etc.. body types because it is taking into consideration also the height, bone structure etc...
According to what I've seen, I am a Theatrical Romantic.

The subject has been more studied for women :



But for men also there are similar body types :




I believe there are also tests on the internet you can find but the videos have been enough for me to place myself.

my friend was thinking she was a romantic because she has an hourglass and has narrow bone structure but she was not. You can have narrow bone structures but still be on the "strong side" because of the way you are built, elongated bone. Large feet and hands too.

i watched the whole video. non is matching me. the tall ones have strong bone structure and angular features mostly. i'm both hourglass, meaty (non of my bones are visible), small waist, small hands, small feet, round facial features that becomes fuller when i gain some weight, no sharp lines on my face. everything is matching the theatrical romantic except for my height. I'll try the test

In bodybuilding, I think this is usually referred to as "structure/ skeletal structure", but there are too many variables to really classify just a few or ever like 10 types. From a bodybuilder perspective, it's all about how wide your shoulders and clavicle is, how narrow and short your waist is and how long your limbs are. This matters a shitton to create a "pleasing" look.
However, to simplify it, for men it mainly matters that you have relatively long limbs, a small and short waist and a wide skeletal structure around the shoulder area.
For women, you need wide hips, a small waist, long legs and a good fat distribution (more on the thighs, glutes, and less on the arms, waist etc.)
So the two factors determining body type, when it comes to only the genetic stuff would be skeletal structure and fat distribution.
