I value wisdom & practicality over looks or intelligence. That's why I've always been drawn to older women.

An intelligent woman is often times full of anxieties and various mental ailments, they expect you to be her "rock" when instead it turns into a 2nd job for the man and adds gray hairs to my head (I already have about 5% of my head covered w/ grays). I'm looking out for my self-interests also.

I would choose attractive & dumb in a partner tbh

I'd have no problems with being friends with ugly & smart. In fact I have a friend who I grab beers with who is fat + very smart and I still enjoy her company. I think she's catching feelings though.
