Lou Deprijck is infamous in Thailand. He currently lives back in Belgium lol. Yes, he does speak Dutch despite having been born in Hainaut. Son of a Flemish migrant to Wallonia and bilingual.
I wouldn't call it schlager music, though, but you can call it 'foute muziek' as we call it in Dutch. Tacky music.
